CAST:
Tobias Nierop (Johan Cruyff), Myrthe Burger (Danny Cruyff), Chiem Vreeken (u/s Manus Cruyff and others), Gusta Geleijnse (Nel Cruyff and others), Pepijn Schonenberg (Cor Coster and others), Remco Sietsema (Gonzalez and others), Milan Sekeris (Piet Keizer and others), Jeske van der Staak (Maya Suurbier and others), Sjoerd Spruijt (Basilevic and others), Eva van der Post (Jenny Keizer and others), Kiki Heus (u/s Eunice Kennedy and others), Ruth Sahertian (Ruud Krol and others), Wolter Weulink (Wim Suurbier and others)
NOTES:
Let’s start on a positive note: Tobias killed it as Cruyff. He is honest and funny, while switching between being both part of the story and breaking the fourth wall all of the time. In general, the cast was mostly good. The material was a mess tho. Seeing this show was an eye-opening experience and a very good lesson in what to avoid when creating a musical. Act one felt like it lasted 2,5 hours, and act two was just all over the place in every aspect. When writing the songs, they wrote music first and lyrics after, and it showed: ugly lyrics, and weird emphasizes within words. If you don’t like Cruyff, or football/soccer in general: stay away from this.

Kevin Clay (Elder Price), Cody Jamison Strand (Elder Cunningham), Kim Exum (Nabulungi), Stephen Ashfield (Elder McKinley), John Eric Parker (Mafala Hatimbi), Lewis Cleale (Mission President), Derrick Williams (General), Christian Probst (s/w Cunningham's Dad), Lewis Cleale (Price's Dad/Joseph Smith/Mission President), Jasmin Richardson (Mrs. Brown), Isaiah Tyrelle Boyd (Doctor), Randy Aarons (s/w Ensemble), Daniel Fetter (Ensemble), Bre Jackson (Ensemble), Kristen Jeter (Ensemble), John K Kramer (Ensemble), Ben Laxton (Ensemble), Terrie Lynne (Ensemble), Henry McGinniss (Ensemble), Stoney B. Mootoo (Ensemble), Darius Nichols (Ensemble), John Pinto Jr (Ensemble), Christian Probst (Ensemble), Jasmin Richardson (Ensemble), Leonard E. Sullivan (s/w Ensemble)
NOTES:
It was nice seeing this version of the show, with the changes made, but not all of them made the show better imo. There were some mic issues during Hello, and the sound during songs was generally very loud. Includes photo of the understudy slip.

NOTES:
Nice unobstructed HD capture of the shows second stop in Amsterdam. Act 1 is mostly a stage shot filmed from the rear mezzanine (Galerij), Act 2 has a little more zoom and is filmed from the front mezzanine (Loges). One small drop-out in Act 2, but other than that it follows the action well. Includes the curtain call. Includes photo of the cast screen. NEVER post/gift/share/sell this video anywhere, to anyone.

CAST:
Willemijn Verkaik (Beverley/Annette & others), Steven Roox (Kevin T./Garth & others), Wim van den Driessche (Claude & others), Robbert van den Bergh (Oz & others), Willemijn van Holt (Janice & others), Frank van Hengel (Kevin J./Ali & others), Ad Knippels (Nick/Doug & others), Rosalie de Jong (Diane & others), Joanne Telesford (Hannah & others), Marleen van der Loo (Beulah & others), Lieke van den Broek (Bonnie & others), Qshans Thode (Bob & others)
NOTES:
A 45-minute open rehearsal, two weeks before the first show. This is the second time-slot of the day, so it’s different from MusicalTheatreLove’s master. This set ran from ‘Welcome to the Rock’ through ‘Costume Party’. They restarted the first song a few lines in, because Wim sang the first lines from ‘Finale’ instead of the opening. They didn’t use mic’s, so I boosted the audio quite a lot to make the dialogue as understandable as possible.

NOTES:
Nice quality audio of this stunning non-replica production. Willemijn delivers an amazing ‘Me And The Sky’, and Frank is great as Kevin J and Ali. Somewhere around ‘I Am Here’ the phone of the person next to me rang for like two minutes. Includes photos of the cast screen.

NOTES:
First video of the Dutch Tour. First 20 minutes were mostly a full stage shot, after that I tried to zoom. There’s a head blocking the centre bottom part of the stage, but it rarely blocks the full action, mostly just the legs. This is Suzanne de Heij’s final show before going on maternity leave. She’s visibly pregnant during the show. Sometimes aimed a little too high, but no drop-outs. I’d say for a first video master it could’ve turned out a lot worse. Includes photos of the cast screen. NEVER post/gift/share/sell this video anywhere, to anyone.
